This one. I don't know if it is but was told by a learned friend it was ex Wells.

Unfortunately when it reopens it will be a 'lesser' ride than the one filmed. There will be only two coaches, it will travel clockwise only. The 'train' will be coloured white. There was a position advertised by the local council for two supervisors. 15 hours per week with scope for longer hours as and when required. It will e interesting to see how long the railway 'repays' the £500k loan.

Not interested. If it had been rebuilt to 12-1/4" gauge and they'd wanted to hire "Sherpa" for a season I would have been!

I know precisely what you mean. Having seen it on it's holiday along the coast at Nohampton, I agree. Of every 12in/12¼in gauge loco I've seen (and that's quite a few!), Sherpa has a unique presence which is nothing short of absolutely bloody marvellous! :)

Quite agree - it was what persuaded me to buy the Fairbourne back in '95 and I subsequently bought it from the company. Worth every penny!

Nice to see that the railway is returning. A good part of my early years holiday's were spent riding the railway. I hate to think that is 50 years ago....

Loaded test runs Monday afternoon. 30 plus volunteers crammed into the train and enjoyed a couple of turns around the railway. More testing completed today . Hoping the railway is signed off from the contractor to the council.

Signs on the display boards on the station in Poole Park this afternoon simply said "Coming Soon" How soon that will be was not given any indication
    Station still currently fenced off.
