Which is why, if I recall, another thread was set up to keep this one clear.

Thanks. Must be some change they've made to their Web-site configuration. I'll have to try a UK-based intermediary.

Two different browsers (Opera, Edge) on two different machines wasn't enough? OK, I'll try some more - both Firefox and Exploder also give the exact same screen.

And I'm pretty sure it's coming from the site, not some caching server my ISP is trying to slide in there, because I'm going to this page, but the error screen has a link in it to this page.

I tried both links suggested by JNC; both work perfectly well for me - the first goes to the latest article in "Weekend Rails", the second goes to the site index page.

It might be worth checking your firewall settings. I get a similar message from my work computer, which has a highly filtered firewall, but not from my own PC or my phone.

Err, no. No firewall. And in any event, it used to work fine, and then, with no changes here, it stopped working within the last day or two.

But just for grins, I tried this from a Linux box at the university in the USA to which I have access:

Don't think it's my ISP, router or firewall... :)

Anyway, please, no more suggestions - I really just wanted to see if others were having the same issue with the WR site.

You can get to weekend rails by first visiting Andrew Briddon Locos if you wish

Pete Briddon tells me that for security reasons his site provider blocks US based servers.

Odd; I wonder why? And it's very recent, things were working fine a few days ago.

Oh well, thanks for letting me know!

Yes they can! They simply refuse to sell shares to people viewed as undesirables. The Management of Peak Rail PLC. and the Board of the PRA. are experts when anyone becomes a threat to their empire. Lets face it - would any other heritage railway offer that lot a job if the members and shareholders of Peak Rail removed them from office?

Sounds like the EVRA could be in for another boost if people vote with their feet.

Perhaps it would be better for a new thread dedicated to these issues as the Peak Rail Annual Report title probably does not spring to mind when searching. Perhaps a Peak Rail Action Group title might be appropriate to leave Dom to keep posting about the good things at Peak Rail.

I would not let one group define the title - "Peak Rail Politics" may be more neutral but would strongly support keeping this thread "clean" of negativity as it is one of the few places where insight into what is happening on the ground and in the sheds can be obtained. It would be unfortunate if contributors felt unwilling to be seen as fuelling critics. For example it is not good if announcements of a new loco arriving are met by comments on the state it will be returned in. The contributor might feel they are just passing the ball for critics to score goals. The other thread can be a home for vigorous but hopefully constructive discussion. https://www.national-preservation.com/threads/peak-rail-annual-report.983259/page-4

Apologies if that is back seat (well Pendolino seat) moderation.

The above post describes pretty well how to use this site and how not to use the parallel Peak Rail Discussion site.

Has anyone else seen the message from the new president of Peak Rail plc, a certain Mr Waterman? I am away from home with only a mobile phone so it is difficult to post. It contains some interesting information and background to the current situation.

I also received the message from Mr Waterman today. First communication I've ever had from the plc aside from the annual accounts.
