More updates on the work at Gasworks Bridge, now moving towards completion. Final levels are being set and the drainage is almost complete. Next it will be the turn of our own machines to swing in to action with replacing the track. The cattle creep requires a few finishing touches to the wing walls. We are now in holiday season with many regulars off enjoying the sunshine.

As ever details on the blog.

Oh yes, was there since the line was opened in the 1880's.

I see Llynclws station house has been sold, subject to contract. I hope the new owners are sympathetic to the railway.

I am out on a road trip this week but I will make a few posts later in the week. An offer has been accepted on the station but I have no further details. We will see what happens

There are already some updates on the blog and this morning I have received lots of pictures of the works under the bridge. I will post possibly this evening after another day exploring the D Day beaches in Normandy.

I suspect the new owners are going to have to be very sympathetic to the railway if Llynclws South is ever going to be connected to the line to Oswestry.

A couple of things coming up:
11/12th working weekend on the cattle creep and more preparation of the trackbed ballast
18th August Commemoration event for Cambrian WWI employees at Oswestry

The Thursday Gang pushed on and I will post photos later on the blog.

I will be away for a week working on my other project so updates will probably not be available next week.

The new doors are on the engine shed and work is gradually moving forward to make the building secure.

Quite a busy week with plenty going on around the site, more progress by the contractors and a milestone for the blog. Take a look and see..

More general site work and most of the Heras fencing has gone from the foot crossing by the signal box. But can you spot the deliberate mistake??

It looks like a steel construction so the bracing is the wrong way round or the gate is hung upside down.
Edit: Talking rubbish. If it is a steel gate, it is braced correctly.

Well spotted. One is right and one needs inverting. But there is also lots of debate which one is right and lots of photo evidence of gates hung upside down.
