Any news on where things are up to on 61264? This is one which really would be good to get back. Has any work been done on it mechanically since 2014?

Thanks for this, it definitely answers the question about mechanical work, but it would be nice to see a more recent update, to say how the repairs are doing!

I understand the K1 is on the railway now. Any idea when it is set to be used?

It will be examined at Grosmont today, and will go into service tomorrow, and is set to stay for most of April.

I think this counts as confirmation. https://twitter.com/GavinJaffa/status/719863397597200385

I understand that the boiler has already arrived at Pickering.

One of the worst kept secrets is now official. 80136 has arrived on the NYMR. It is a part assembled kit of parts but will, hopefully, not take long to put together again. Hopefully, it will see service by the main season and, perhaps next year join 80135 on the loco roster. One black, one green to avoid people getting confused.
Also arriving this week is 80072. Unfortunately for a shorter stay but a most welcome addition whilst it is there.

Great news on all fronts, and I understand that work has resumed on 80135's boiler as well, raising hopes it will be ready for next year. Now, where can we get a third one from on a long term basis!

Can anyone explain the current situation with Hartland, is work still progressing on the boiler, even with the frames outside, or has work stopped completely? And is Repton's boiler being done at Grosmont, or has it been contracted out?

Not sure what's happening with Hartland - I've been told they've done about as much as possible on the frames until the boiler is available. Repton's boiler is nearly finished, I've been told, but the loco is not likely to be completed till the end of the year - perhaps a return in time for santa specials and new year running. I think everyone hopes that 80136 will be running by then, if not sooner. It has gone unreported on here, but a start has been made on dismantling WD 2-10-0 3672 or overhaul as well.

Is there any more overhaul work to be carried out on 80136, or is it just re-assembly? I seem to remember that it is one which has been 'almost finished' for quite a while! What has happened to the rest of the home fleet? On Monday, it was just the K1 and Diesels/DMU working as far as I saw. Eric seemed to be on washout, but what about the 76 and Q6?

76079 has problems with tender wheelsets - they are being swapped with those from 75029, which will not be needing them any tie soon. As it happens a similar swap in reverse was done whilst 76079 was out of service, so it is getting its own wheels back. Don't know why the Q6 wasn't running.

80072 has also arrived and should be running very soon I would think.

Nice to read of these Standard 4MT's being brought in for use. It will be good to see them alongside the various other standards on the line. If they want they can leave Repton for sometime yet and get some of these others running first.

It's thoughtful of you to cut them some slack, but having poured a lot of money into it, and because it is a very well suited engine for the services, I'm sure that once 44806 is returned to traffic they'll be turning their efforts to Repton and the Standard tank in more or less equal measure.

It seems that the NYMR Trust Board have voted to have Repton painted in Malachite green when it is finished. Where do we now get the Southern stock from?

Edit: Looks like someone's beaten me to that in Steam Locos!

No need. Teak stock on excursions to the south coast will do nicely!
