Works were carried out during the Covid period by NR, which is excellent news for the railway, the obvious benefit being having the option back to have locomotives like Tornado travel in/out by rail!

I’m hoping for future visits from Royal Scot, Duchess of Sutherland and an A4…

What’s the current position with the NNR running through to Cromer?

I visited in the Autumn (first visit for around a decade) and there was some material in the souvenir guide that suggested it happened every now and then but I didn’t get the chance to ask anyone when I was there.

Cromer was curtailed through the Covid years for obvious reasons and locomotive availability (along with a few other reasons) unfortunately thwarted resumption in 2022. Regrettably I can't say much more other than that at present.

Timetable and the events program not finalised on the website yet, but at the moment looks cut back from last year. Pretty sure the railway ran on weekends in March last year. No mention of a spring steam gala yet, maybe the Tornado visit is instead of that?

Timetables and events programme have been more or less finalised this week and the team is working through adding them to the website and activating the bookings system.

Forget what I said - Spring Steam Gala now on the website. 14th-16th April, 'featuring visiting locomotives' TBA.

I wonder what they could be?
100 years of the LNER perhaps?

Indeed and did not come under sole LNER management (and even then not sole ownership) until 1936
