Is this the latest livery? Very smart.

Our local RHTT that is. The loco on the other end isn't quite so bad but still difficult to work out what colour is underneath all that grime.
Someone overdid the weathering??
What the hell happened to that? It looks like it's been coated with fly ash.
How odd; the loco gets covered in the liquid put down to treat the tracks during leaf fall season. The trackwork doesn't end up looking like that though.
AIUI it's the crud it cleans off the rails that gives the locos their snazzy new livery.
Thanks for this info. That explains why the cab nearest the wagons is covered, but not he far end.
I'd say there's a fair chance that the jets are wider than the rail head and most of that is crap off the ballast?
Either way, a shed load of crap (or is it a shed with a load of crap?)
All Loco's on RHTT turns end up caked in crap, the DRS 20's up Yorkshire look like they've spent a couple of months on the MGR circuit under BR.
