As this has now been widely reported elsewhere this probably isn't news any more, but the Mull and Rudyard railways will be combined into a new company, Leek and Rudyard Railway Ltd. The various contracts etc have been exchanged and the new company will commence operations next year. Until then both companies and assets remain with their current owners and operators.

That inane comment shows why its a waste of time putting factual news or information on this forum.

Thank you. This has gone on far too long for any faint amusement to remain. Humour is always a puzzle to the humourless.

Just to confirm that the sale of the Rudyard Lake Steam Railway to the Leek & Rudyard Railway was completed yesterday. Services by the new company start on January 1st.
