    76017 did not in fact arrive back t'other way round in the end, so is still facing London. No idea when the May roster will be up, my bet would be 9F and Cheltenham for a while, certainly with RATS on 13th and 25th/26th May the 9F is likely to be out.

    Huh, just to prove me wrong, 45379 is working the service trains today! The Crompton had a trip to Alresford with the Atlas crane to pick up some old sleepers (wooden ones, not the PW gang, although they were there too)

    I am hoping to attend the Watercress Festival on Sunday weather permitting. A colleague at work is also going and he said it is supposed to be pretty foul on Sunday :(
    Anyone know what's likely to be rostered for the services? I guess 76017 won't be in use as she is off on her travels again, this time to the Cotswolds for the GWSR Gala later in the month.
    Hopefully 925 will be in use as I have missed her distinctive exhaust beat along the line.

    A lame excuse, if ever there was one! :rolleyes:

    As for the Thumper - that'll mean circa 07:30 then........ & no need to set the alarm clock.

    But getting back to motive power..... I swear 925 is louder now after her TLC than before......... & I see 76017 is off on another jolly, to the GWSR next weekend.

    That explains it. I clearly hadn't studied the timetable very well.
    I think War on the line is also using a three train service (but not with a diesel in use I hope!)
