Is the plan to depict it in the condition most were in in 1967? withdrawn on shed, rods removed covered in grime ? possibly without tender. or are we going to see a recreation of the scrapyard movement simular to what happened with 76017 sandwiched between two brake vans hauled by a blue crompton.

RM reckons eight Bulleids are attending and the MHRwebsite lists the following:
35006 - Merchant Navy Class - Peninsular and Orient Line
34053 - ‘Sir Keith Park’ - Battle of Britain Class
    34081 - 92 Squadron - Battle of Britain Class
34052 - Lord Dowding - Battle of Britain Class

Do we know the identity of the other four? Only asking out of interest, I shall be there both weekends whatever turns up!

Presumably they're referring to Wadebridge, Sir Frederick Pile, Swanage and Canadian Pacific, but these will be not be operating!

What exactly is the wording (up thread it said "eight Bulleid Pacific loco's at the MHR event" - post #58). That could include 34007, 34058, 34105 (and 35005??) in addition to the ones you list. Guess it depends whether you interpret it as how many on site, or how many in steam.

The "Stop press" report says that there will be Eight Bulleid Pacific loco's at the MHR for the July Gala: Four in steam (34052, 34053, 34081 & 35006) and four in residence (34007 possibly renumbered in the yard?, 34105 in the works, 34058 at Alresford? & 35005 or parts of her in the shed?)
I wonder if they might also be able to hire the miniature Merchant Navy loco's that entered traffic at the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway recently to operate the miniature Railway like 6100 did for the LMS Gala.

Ah! Useful reminder of the need for careful reading of sources! Still, four in steam ain't at all bad, in fact it's brilliant. Here's to a great couple of weeks

I'm still looking forward to hearing about what's going to happen on the day Braunton gallivants off down to Weymouth on 8th July.

It would be nice if the MHR could at the very least move 34058 into the cattle dock at Alresford for display during the event, even if a 2mph tow up to Ropley is out of the question.

Well it does indeed look like 34046 will be leaving the MHR event to operate the RTC excursion to Weymouth on the 8th July as it has now been put on the Icons of Steam Website travel page:
    http://www.iconsofsteam.com/travel/

This usually means it is confirmed.
What is interesting is that the MHR Summer event has not yet appeared on the Icons of Steam website even though 34046 is confirmed on the MHR site.
Glad I am going to the first weekend and the Friday of the second weekend of the MHR event.
I am on the UK Railtours excursion with 35028 on the 9th July. I might now also book up the RTC trip for the 8th....*

*Edit: It seems that most of the 8th July trip has sold out. Just checked availability and only premier class has seats left.

MHR Website Gala page has also been updated as shown below:
To commemorate 50 years since the end of southern steam we will have two weekends with Bulleid Pacifics and a fantastic line up of locos, intensive timetable, freight train and real ale bar – don’t miss out!

We think it is the first time since the end of southern steam that you can see EIGHT Bulleid Pacific’s on a railway at one time.

    Four guest engines already confirmed:

35006 - Merchant Navy Class - Peninsular and Orient Line

34053 - ‘Sir Keith Park’ - Battle of Britain Class

    34081 - 92 Squadron - Battle of Britain Class
34052 - Lord Dowding - Battle of Britain Class

In addition the above guest Bulleid engines we have four in restoration that will be on display:
    34007 - Wadebridge

    35005 - Canadian Pacific

    34058 - Frederick Pile

    34105 - Swanage
We are hoping to recreate the Bournemouth Belle diverted over the Watercress Line - one of the Channel Island’s Tomato Special Freight train ran on the last day of steam pulled Lord Dowding.
Also running will be a permanent-way train which will include a steam crane and some flat wagons with track panels.
There will be a different permutation of trains on each Gala day - timetable to be announced next month (June)

    Our home fleet:

    LMS Ivatt Class 2MT - 41312

    Class 4MT - 76017

You could visit the Bluebell for a ride behind City of Wells instead.

Ah yes, I forgot about the visit of the Volcano to Sussex. I might just do that. Do you know how long 34092 will be at the Bluebell for?

76017 returned today - did anyone notice which way it was facing?? The plan was to have it facing "country" for a while......

I'm sorry but you can't say 35005 is in attendance if it's Frames are not there.
A boiler and klinger valves don't count lol.
If that was the case, Strictly Bulleid could have counted 34028 because the cab was in the works! :)
