Will the Belle set be behind the second departure from Alresford?

The bacon sarnies are very good, and it would help me to plan my visit on Saturday knowing which set the Belle is in.

92212 arrives at Alton, on the freight set, five minutes after it's supposed to have left again!

Same as at the Arlesford end. Goods will be left in the loop the 9F will go to the front if the train in the platform and something else will drag the goods into the platform. Same probable problem with the timetable etc. etc.

I suspect it leaves the freight in the loop outside Alton, and the freight is pulled into to the station by the Ivatt and Standard tank after the 9f has left with the passenger set.

Blimey! Cutting things a bit fine with the Manor aren't they?:Nailbiting::Nailbiting: The first guest announced for the event and the last to arrive.... I noticed she was still in use over the WSR at the weekend.

We should hopefully be attending Friday and Saturday. I really enjoy a bit of copper capped music over the Alps. Weather looking good too. Fingers crossed all goes well.

    Ah right, I see!

I haven't had a WTT yet, so perhaps that would've clarified.

We're lucky the WSR can spare 7822 as their summer visitors have gone home and as far as I know they only have 3 steam locos now (7822, 6960 and 53808) and they need 2 of those for the daily service.

Looks like you are right. 7822, 6960 and 53808 are the only steam loco's available for service according to the WSR roster. I thought 7820 was still there to help out but it seems she has left. 44422 is in the works along with 7828. Really appreciate the folks at the WSR allowing 7822 to visit us when they are so short of motivepower.

Things will be okay on the WSR as long as they don't need to put a fire in the belly of the S160.

Both 6960 and 53808 are fine workhorses.

All of which reminds me of a slogan I once saw on the wall of the toilets at The Black Horse at Pembury--- ''Don't take the piss out of Watneys-you might spoil the taste''.

What a fine old pub that was.
