I'm not sure all I can tell you is that she went light engine to Alresford and also to M4M and every think was ok.

Which locos are being used tomorrow? 60019 seems to be on the service trains, and it says 34007 on footplate days. Can anyone confirm this?

    Also, has 49395 arrived yet?

60019 was on the service train today so I take she will do the same again tomorrow and 34007 had a warming fire in her. 49395 hasn't arrived at the railway today. I was told that 33053 was still in the cattle dock.

so I presume it will arrive tomorrow and do a test run on thursday?

I would have thought that 92212 will still have a fire in here and will maybe do something whilst she is still warm.

    as for 34046 who knows.............

Here's a technical question, would you leave a small fire going in 92212 till friday or just light the fire up on the thursday?

and likewise for the other locos there? will they all have warming fires now?

MHR website has just confirmed that 34046 will not be attending the gala after failing its ultrasonic axle test because of flaws on the tender axles, they did explore the idea of sending 35005's tender down there, but it was not possible.

So there we have it, this years gala failure. Last years was the 8F, year before 34081, and this year 34046.

Still at least 30075 has arrived, means 7 locos still operating.

The Super D left the NYMR today. Best of luck with the thing. You're not keeping it by any stroke of luck? (Wishful thinking on my part.) Remember not to wind the handbrake too far off!!

Thanks for the tip! I take it I'm going to regret agreeing to driving it for the whole Gala then.

If you've driven it before, you'll know what you're letting yourself in for. If not, you soon will!

Does it need restoring? If it does, its probaly better to do it when its not running!
