Latest issue of The Railway Magazine has a report on the departure of the five Bunch Loco's and says 73096 is due to leave soon as well but the new home has not been revealed yet.....................

31874 and 31625 were both at the front of the head shunt and 73096 was still behind them yesterday.

I had a hunch on Saturday given their position, they'd be on the move soon.......................... T'was confirmed today by our Alresford correspondent, that the are in the process of leaving /have left this evening.

The RM report also seems to suggest that 31806 may work some services on the MHR in August before leaving.......

i'm just wondering, thats all, for instance , when a loco moves from one railway to another, does the hiring railway pay the transportation, or the home location? for instance, would the MHR pay the transport, to swanage, how does it work?

I would imagine it is upto JB for movement costs. Since they are his locos.

has the agreement actually ended with the MHR, if still in place at the movement date in that case i was wondering would the cost of transport have been worked out between the Swanage Railway and MHR, to faciliate the transfer of the engines i cant see that the owner would need to get involved , it would be between the two railways to decide how and when,

Swanage are getting the locos under a 25 year deal, or so I've read. It would not be unreasonable for them to foot the transport bill under the circumstances - presumably it has been agreed between them & JB, and they don't have to tell anyone else what they have agreed if they don't want to.

I echo your statement. It is between Swanage, MHR and JB.
