About the Move to Shildon, the move itself was a great event and got steam locos in the news again... result.

I went for a spin on it back in '75 on 41241 from the KWVR (along with a Pannier) - we were facing the wrong way for the Grand Cavalcade at the end of S&D 150 do. It took a lot of persuading to move back then, they ended up using a Tirfor attached to some suitably immovable object to get it going, so goodness knows what it's like now, unless it's had some TLC since?

A bit like KWVR'S Turntable, only ever used for Demos as its too short to turn anything bigger than a 2-6-0 tender engine and there arent many of those coming in off the mainline...
