I've had mine a few days - I like getting it in the post, It could be emailed out - that's the way Trackbed Trails is sent out.

As Led Zeppelin once said there is a 'communication breakdown'. I agree with Chris an electronic version could be sent out, but I also take the point that there might be other stuff that goes out with it. A recent article from the HRA (Heritage Railway Association) in Steam Railways, makes interesting reading, the same also goes for what information has been gathered by the L&BR over the replacement coal they have been using this year.

Only tangential to the L&B, but I've just seen from the io.groups that Adrian Shooter is dead.
Suffering from motor neurone disease, he took his own life in Switzerland, with assistance from Dignitas.
A frequent visitor to Woody Bay, his likes will be very much missed.
One of the "good guys" in the movement.
    RIP.

A detailed and moving obituary, including Adrian Shooter’s own account of his final decision, is in today’s Daily Telegraph.

If you register there’s no need to give payment details , it’ll just limit the number of articles you can read in a week.

Thanks, Miff. Just read it, and it really does yank at the emotions, doesn't it? Yes, we all have to take that journey sometime, but it doesn't make it any easier. I'm just glad he did it on his own terms. He was up there with Herbert Walker, Chris Green and Gerry Fiennes, as one of the major league all-time big hitters in the industry.

You had received your newsletter when you wrote on 9 December. Mine came today, dated November. Perhaps we ought to go back to delivery on horseback, or failing that on-line.

I don't think the L&B can be blamed for the postal strikes!

Or the increased volume of post due to Christmas. I have had letters arrive the next day but some taking a couple of weeks.

And, having joined the Trust online over the weekend, I’ve no issue about it taking a little time to sort out the admin. Volunteer organisations deserve some slack.

No newsletter yet, and very few Xmas cards either. Sadly, one of the people to whom I send died before his arrived :-(

    God, that's awful.
We received one just the other day from someone who pre-deceased it's arrival. It was a truly horrible and disorienting moment.
Newsletter arrived Tuesday. With the exception of the revised arrangements for Parracombe, it wasn't worth the wait!
