I can confirm notification of this went out in the gala roster along with some other tips about the dampers and cleaning of her ;)

We're looking forward to having her there, as you know its been a while in the pipeline

Nice shot! I have to say that the paintwork has held up well and the Bewdley lads looked after her well during her stay there. Thanks, Lads - much appreciated!

The latest newsy news is in.
To please all you Railmotor fans who are wondering how it's going and if anythings been done then rest assured work is carrying on a place and the metal sent to the fabricator has returned so it should be getting some nice new buffer beams added in the future. But the main news is that the coal bunker is almost complete.

Plus one of are resident Class 37 has left for the SVR were it's staying for there diesel gala or something.
Also i couldn't resist taking this picture of the 4F and are resident Black 5 on shed
    [IMG]
Tomorrow the stanier mogul is meant to turn up and on Wednesday the Class 73 will be leaving us. Pictures will be posted if i remember to bring my camera but i am a little scatter brained at times.

Comings and goings today at Llangollen shed what with the mogul arriving and the Pullman 73 departing. The 4F was also in steam today as everything gears up for the gala. Pictures below.
    First the tender arrived
    [IMG]
Then came the engine at almost the same time
    [IMG]
And then with them safely on Llangollen Railway rails the 73 was loaded up ready to go.

In fact, thanks for the photo, which I've hijacked for the Fund's website!

I did try to e-mail you first, but now realise it didn't send. I'm more than happy to credit you with it, if you let me know what name to use: Broomhalla?

Ah, i have been exposed! The true face of Broomhalla is revealed. Pictures poor but there i am looking very black what is quite right since i had been in two fireboxes giving them the old clean out and had just finished a smokebox when the picture was taken. Plus a ash pan but that was easy what with it being of the hopper kind.

Some nice pictures for you lot and news that there will be two steam test tomorrow as the sleeping Foxcote Manor is awakened and the stanier mogul is tested. Pictures below.

    Shed news update:
The stanier mogul will depart a week on Tuesday and the 4F will be with us till the end of May.
Gala deprep today as all the gala things were taken down and work continued on the railmotor, but then a day doesn't go by in the week with out something new happening to the railmotor. Apart from that everything as normal with yet more bits added to the railmotor non powered bogie that looks almost ready, but then i have no idea if it's anywhere near that stage.

A lovely day at Llangollen today. It really was what was good for the photo charter lot but more about that later. The big news is that 5199 has now left the Llangollen Railway bound for the Bluebell Railway who will have her for quite a while and hopefully they'll enjoy having a proper engine on there line for once :smt003. Only kidding but she'd a great little tank engine and she'll be nice and snug amongst the southern engines that seem to populate your line. Look out for her hairy minder by the way he's coming down with her. Pictures below:
All ready to go 5199 sits on reception awaiting her transport on a lovely sunny day.
And she's off! 5199 almost ready to go as she's loaded up on her transporter ready for the long haul down.

Like i said it was a lovely day on shed today and so at lunch time i was able to take this picture of some of the shed staff sitting out in the sun. If you can name all of them then good for you.
The 4F like i said was on photo charters today and i was able to catch these quick pictures of her from Carrog station road bridge.

5199 look superb. Just wondered how the Bluebell was decided as home for a while - were there a few options? Is it surplus to Llan requirements usually?

Were not changing homes, since Llangollen will always be 5199's home. It's just she's off on loan for a while to the Bluebell Railway. Perhaps i should of worded it better, but by now she's on her way.
Hope you Bluebell guys like her and enjoy her while she's down there.
