Apologies for the late ish reply, but 3802 is out. The 5 will be working the gala next weekend, with the Sunday being its last day in traffic at Llangollen.

Because it's been part of the Llangollen home fleet for 20 or so years. It's always a shame when any loco goes out of ticket, or leaves its home for good.

Does anyone know what form Jessie is in at the moment, as the website suggests she is Thomas but the enthusiasts page Loco Roster has Jessie down as the power for the next few weekends, unless the plan is to have her as Jessie for a couple of weeks and then convert her back to Thomas in under a week I would have thought this is not possible.

It would seem she is running in Thomas livery without face/number:

Hmmm... This must be the first time Jessie has seen use out of Llangollen station for a while. As Thomas doesn't normally leave Llangollen.

    two visitors and 3802.

Foxcote manor is out, 44806 left in Jan, 6430 not ready yet, 5199 not ready yet, 80072 i think has failed but not sure? so that might be running as well.

im personally hoping 80136 will return to Llangollen railway to finish its overhaul and double head with 80072 in the future but there is now way that would happen before the gala, if at all.

Thanks, also is there any progress being made on 7754? It would be nice to see both 6430 and7754 together at some point if they are both out of overhaul at the same time!

80072 has been stopped for cylinder and valve liner renewal, and re metaling of motion components. The plan was to have it ready for the gala, so fingers crossed. 7822 will be ready in the summer all being well. They are currently waiting on the throat plate pressing. Patches have been fitted to the backhead over the last couple of weeks. 7822's repaint has also begun, with the tender now sporting it's first coat of black. 5199's boiler is out of the boilershop, and having its hydraulic tests. The bottom end still requires quite a bit of work to complete it. Early May would be my best guess for running in turns.

Also 7754 is slowly progressing. The Trust received a substantial donation to progress the loco. It's currently back on its wheels, and the motion is being reassembled. The boiler has been assessed, and is in the yard ready for work to commence. Alls that is required is money (as always).

I believe 80136 is due to head back to the West Somerset soon.

as always! 80136 could be ready in 3months if they had the money to finish it. Just needs a railway to offer to stump the final amount in return for steaming fees.

Work on the boiler is moving along now that 5199s boiler has been moved out for testing. Jobs on the bottom end are also slowly progressing. I'd think the lads in the shed will be doing a bit more on it now that 80072's motion work is almost complete.

Was the original plan to have it back in service before the end of the year, or am I imagining things?
