Great to see the LlR back in operation ... Fantastic job from the Trust and many congratulations to all those folks who've worked so hard to make today possible

With the Dee Bridge safely ticked off, good luck with whatever jiggery-pokery the website needs and best wishes to all those heading off into the tunnel! :)

Let's just hope the mess gets cleared away from this picturesque area ASAP.

Good to see the SVR have donated over 300 concrete sleepers to the LR.

I think the good folk on the Llangollen have been a trifle busy with other more pressing issues but I’m sure they’ll appreciate the comments…

Brilliant donation from the Severn Valley Railway, great to see so much positivity and support.

It's works yard and barely visible from the train when looking down into the yard. Our tracksides are relatively clear of junk compared to some.
Had I known that you would be so upset I would have photoshopped the Hanging Gardens of Babylon or Copa Cabana beach for you.

Accumulators of grot is a recurring habit of tourist railways and a visit from a scrap merchant would not only improve things cosmetically but also financially.

Endless repetition of what others should do, without being in full possession of the facts, or being willing to step up and assist, is a recurring habit of (some) railway enthusiasts.

I have put in many years at various railways, since the early 1970s.
And heard a lot of ‘what you should do is … ‘

To be fair to Paul, clean and tidy looks better. Perhaps Havenstreet are lucky in that 99% is stored out of sight behind a big storage building.
Saying that the main topic of conversation at the moment should be a great big pat on the back to Bob and many other people at Llangollen for all the hard work behind the scenes to get the railway running again from a very difficult place to be able to take a picture of a train and container. By the sounds of it it very nearly didn't happen.

I go along with that. Certainly, I wish Lla well but like all tourist lines they face competition from other attractions be they canal trips or stately homes. Tidiness, cleanliness and condition matter.
