There is a suggestion elsewhere that when 73050 gets rebuilt it too will be in BR Green.

It'd be in good company with that Southern tin can at the NVR then! ;)

There is a certain amusement factor in a former LNWR line becoming a Southern enclave...!

    Hello :)
    Just of curiosity
Of all the numerous Stanier 8f`s and Black Five`s constructed ,has it ever been any members of these painted in BR Brunswick green livery (through their service life? )

Not in their BR lives, a couple of Black 5s have carried BR Green (it’s is not Brunswick! and never has been
) in the preservation era. In the early days of BR a number of different liveries where trialed on Black 5s .

I seem to recall mention of one 5 being tried in apple green (or a variant thereof)?

According to Post #16 in the thread linked below, three Black Fives were experimentally painted green in 1948:

This page should be on the Nat Pres FAQ (scroll near the bottom, or search within the page for “Brunswick”).

Just above within the FAQ should be listed “the GCR was built to a similar loading gauge to many other British railways, years before the Berne loading gauge was even thought of” and just below should be written “Bulleid Pacifics were not fitted with Eastleigh reversers”. ;)

Thanks a lot for the link Tom! :) This must be a challenge for modellers (even though I wish I was one of them)

Where would "The identity of a locomotive was not always dictated by the set of frames" go? :)
