Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway will be holdind their second Steam Gala this weekend after last year's very successful gala. This year, we have "Jinty" 47406 (from the Great Central Railway) Haydock Foundry 0-6-0WT "Bellerophon" (from the Foxfield Railway) & Peckett 0-4-0ST 1438 (from the Appleby Frodingham Railway Preservation Society, making it's second visit to Ludborough) visiting the railway for the gala, as well as our own Peckett 0-4-0ST "Fulstow No. 2 in use. It is expected that "Jinty" 47406 will be facing south, the first steam loco to do so on this line since the 1960's. First train of each day will depart Ludborough at 09:45am, and North Thoresby at 10:10am.
