They are Bi-Di, but im sure the traffic around late afternoon/early evening would make single line working a none starter.

It could but why would it need to when you can head direct to Tyseley from the Terminus platforms ?, only thing I can think of is the Class 5 headcode suggests more than a light engine.

Doesn't appear to be a corresponding 1ZXX from Moor St, though that's not to say one coulden't appear on TRUST tomorrow, have to wait and see I guess, all very curious.

Confirmed that 4965 is going to Moor St for a Chiltern Railways promotional event with a few coaches. Its just going to sit pretty while the business types do whatever they do at these events. Don't know why it has to go to Snow Hill to run round though, why not just put the 47 on the other end to drag it back afterwards?

Probably cheaper to burn a few extra lumps of coal and gallons of water than hire a second driver for the 47 and Diesel fuel.

6201 + Royal Duff (going for Tyre Turning ?) + 7752 + Support into Tyseley on time, no phot due to DBS thinking it would be exceedingly funny to park a steel train in the middle of my shot.

Two not so good shots from yesterday afternoon, rather dull, but showing an unusual trio of motive power.

It could be the "Royal Duff" is going to be exhibited at Tyseleys open days next weekend as they are going to have a royal theme about them this Jubilee year.

For those of us not "in the know", what's "Royal Duff"?

A duff, I believe, is the nickname for the class 47's. Therefore the royal Duff is 47798 Prince william :)

Apologies, I thought the nickname was more wideley known, a few years before they were withdrawn from regular TOC service, the 47's (and Virgin Cross Country examples in particular) had a reputation for unreliability, hence Duffs.

Goes much further back as in "its duff i.e. not a 37, 40, 45 or whatever your choice of class" for bashing.

Thinking of popping out to see 45407's move near Carlisle this evening. Any updates on her progress would be much appreciated.
