Hoping to see it at Whittlesea. Should be interesting as apparently there is a freight booked to be in the way on the triangle at March

    And today :-
61306 providing the nowadays rare spectacle of a steam loco on the main line without a support coach (showing the correct light engine lamp position), heading to Crewe from Kidderminster. The loco had arrived at the SVR with a support coach but that was retrieved last week presumably for the Scot's run to York.

When I left Fort William this morning the plan was that this move would consist of 45212 and two coaches only. The three West Coast diesels are staying put in Fort William at present as is the Mark 2 set off the afternoon train.

Then around midday-ish 45231 also heads south with its support coach and "bubble car" in tow, following the class 37 hauled Chairman's Train which is heading back to Alnmouth.

I would guess no later than 1962 Scott. It must also be quite a while since there were five Class 37s there at one time.

Nice one Mike. Pity I had to head home yesterday morning. All four were there when I left but not in a position where they could photographed together. Thanks for posting.
