Looks like a Leeds to Carlisle service train attached to the rear of the charter? I haven't seen this clip before.

Its easy to forget what a versatile and capable performer 34092 was during its period of mainline operation.

34092 stalled at Stainforth and got a shove. See @iancawthorne site settlecarlislesteam for a couple of pics and a bit more info.

A reminder that in those days improvisation to keep the show on the road was still possible and commonplace. No longer!

what's holding 5Z98 up, could it be a late running Euston Edinburgh only nearly at Penrith N L, holding a Dumfries to Carlisle at Gretna Jcn as well as 5Z98 at Lockerbie, or has the weather gone bonkers again....

it 50 late now on way.

We started to lose time due to railhead conditions, slipping and sliding all the way from Garelochead to Craigandoran, it was not very nice

It certainly was foul weather and the attached images may be of interest.
On the very wet, dreich autumn day of 31 October 2021 in the West Highlands, steam locomotives 45407 and 44871 carrying 'The Heilan' Flyer' headboard and running tender to tender, with diesel locomotive 37518 at the rear, made the long journey home with the remaining empty coaching stock of 10 carriages from the Jacobite season.
They are seen here working away from Horseshoe Curve near Upper Tyndrum and pausing at Helensburgh Upper
