''This service was cancelled between Rugby and Southall WCR due to a problem with a steam locomotive (ME)''.

The loco has now moved from pl.5 to the siding just to the south of the station. <BJ>

will this be 60009's last main line run? her boiler ticket is due to expire soon isn't it? I suppose the loco and tender will have to be roaded back to rileys works for repair, either that or its withdrawn and moves to somewhere like Boness for preparation for display.

Plenty more work scheduled for UoSA, Three more upcoming, all involving York, as well as Saturday that now looks doubtful/risky.

Well, enough to get to Southall presumably for something more thorough. Let's hope it's all minor. A loco movement at 45 ish isn't the same as a train at up to 75.

Sadly the open train times map seems to show it (5Z60) stuck at signal 5272 north of Wolverton with various trains being diverted around the blockage.

5Z60 appears stopped just north of Wolverton despite having had a path to MKC for some time?
