If you read post #492 there was a clear indication on 6201 taking her mainline test in the coming days. I'm pretty convinced that it's Lizzie on a light engine test on the Shakespeare route then followed by a diesel pilot to Carnforth. Maybe Thursday could see it's loaded test run on the Northern circuit.

Why would it need to go to Carnforth for a loaded trial ?, currently both vac and air rakes on site at Tys.

out of curiousity previous test runs for Tys based engines have taken place on the NW and Leicester circuits . Do we have a change for WC in that test runs now need to go round the Hellifield circle

The Wheel Lathe in the LMD next door is often used by WCRC stock in need of tyre turning, believe such exotic beasts as 62005 and 61994 have visited for this reason too.

I agree, but I'm just reporting on what was posted earlier on. Hopefully the test is in our neck of the woods !

    Hello,

My name is Richard, I am new to this forum.

Do you know when it will be confirmed if it is Wednesday or Thursday?

6201 is an engine I really want to see.

    Thanks.

    Richard

Richard. Welcome to the Forum. Your best bet is to keep a watch on Real Time Trains where the timing of the run is scheduled for tomorrow. If there is no hiccup then this will start to track the journey for you>

Neil, have you any idea what happened to 46100? I saw FS at Ravensthorpe but the old lads who were there with their Colossus main frame computer connections had it stopped at Copy Pit summit for a long time. Everybody was expecting a super shot of the two crossing at Ravensthorpe but sadly it wasn't to be.

Not sure what made it 80 minutes late by the time it reached Ravensthorpe, some kind of problem around Copy Pit as far as reports go

So I'm guessing that Wednesday will be a light test run, with Thursday being a loaded test run, followed by a light move to Derby on Friday.
