Yes, just seen it trundling through Burnham at a very leisurely pace.

Nice that :) - you got the kind of shot I was hoping for! :(

I wouldn't say it was too gloomy either - its exactly how it should be, given the setting sun and the shade of the trees.......

Ouch - the noise in that hurts the eye's!

    Much prefer the original. ;)

I didn't like to say anything, trying to be too polite!:) The comment of mine wasn't about a poor pic, merely a note about the darkness looming.

Should be back to a proper camera in a few weeks when the 7D Mk 2 arrives.

    lol!

Here's the 7D mk 2, announced at Photokina in a couple of days.
    http://www.canonrumors.com/2014/09/more-images-of-the-canon-eos-7d-mark-ii/
I have been using a Canon 1DX for over a year but flogged it recently to fund another project. May buy another next year when the Mk 2 of that model is announced. There's a few photos from that scattered on here, Tangmere in the snow, Tornado in the Highlands etc

Yeah, saw that - I caught her at Langley that morning.

As for camera's, I know its subjective, I use one from the one's that "God" - Ken Rockwell, approves off - begins with an N! ;)

The top (there's only 2) camera makers really listen to what he says, and the one's that are No.1 begin with an N......... but we digress from the subject of this thread.....

I have owned a few cameras beginning with an "N" in my 50 years as a photographer and there's nothing (much) :) wrong with them but No. 1 in the sports/ wildlife section which I frequent has always been the one with the white lenses.

We all have our favourites and it would be a dull world if we all liked the same!

By the way, Ken is not universally liked....same with DXO

Yeah, I know but his unbiased reviews raise the hackles on most people who don't use camera's who's name begins with N............ As for DXO......... pretty much could be said for photo wotsit overpriced thingy, and most people I know have a bent copy.......... and its not the be all & end all of photo editing software....... I read (probably like you) as many "unbiased" reviews as I can before making my mind up as to what to spend my hard earned on........

As for your opening sentence, the reverse is true for me, though not quite the 50 years - give me a chance! I still have my Canon AE1 - would've like the A1 - but couldn't afford it - same as I can't with today's silly money full frames....... though the Nikon I have is full frame in all but name - as far as I'm concerned its not the camera you have, but how you use it..... eg - I have a "mate" who has a D2x - and hasn't got a clue..... shoots basic jpeg for a start, nuff said?........ BUT we DIGRESS OT again!

And no I don't want the Mods to start a new photography thread, the last one ended in disaster!

Soooo back on topic.......... what's the odds on Leander having a run out soon?......

Ray said that ~Oliver Cromwell was going back to Southall yesterday, her next trip I think is on Saturday Euston to Chester and return.
