Thank you for posting these times. Is this a steam-hauled ECS working? Uk steam info says "E +ECS??". Steam-hauled ECS workings would have been unthinkable a few years ago, but I know Tangmere took a rake of stock down the WCML earlier this year without a diesel on the front. If so, as I live only about 20 miles away from Hereford, I would be delighted at a chance to see No. 9 in action only a short distance down the road.

Sorry to hear of the later problem - hope for passengers sake something can be sorted out.
Here's a couple of very ordinary shots of her earlier - catching me before set up at Keckwick and then after the Crewe stop approaching Prees:

I passed it on my train home, it was heading back north tender first at Dorrington approximately 18:20. Seemed to be going steadily.

Don't try to read anything into that - probably just the closest delay code available in the system to describe the situation.

Anyone have any news on 5029's potential test runs tomorrow? Timings were on RTT earlier but now schedules have disappeared. Does anyone know if the tests have been postponed? Any steamy signs from Tyseley today?

60009 leaving Acton West 3 late at 1440 today. A glorious hot sunny day but I chose the wrong spot. For those in west London who know it, the road bridge with the recently raised walls over Acton Yard at Noel Road / Twyford Avenue still provides a view using step ladders but now very difficult to get a clean shot with the arrival of the new overhead / lineside furniture (see third pic below). Not the greatest photos in the world but thought some might like to see them:

Interesting view there, Ian, and bang goes another vantage point, and all in the name of progress!

I fear it will be station platforms or nothing from now on, so that you are inside the wires................................
