Just had this email from Great Magazines, hope it turns up.

    Dear Mr

At Steam Railway we are committed to keeping our subscribers informed about events and circumstances that may affect the delivery of their magazine subscription.

Unfortunately, due to mechanical problems with the couriers vehicle, your copy of this week's Steam Railway could be slightly delayed. However, you should receive it by Friday at the latest.

My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and please be assured we will get your copy of Steam Railway to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for subscribing to Steam Railway.

Yes I am an active volunteer
I received my copy wednesday 2nd.
They seem to be getting on top of the previous delivery problems in my area in the last couple of months.

No sign of mine yet - I've not had any trouble in the past, only in the last few months

Got my April issue today, lovely poster inside of 6023 fully painted, plus some interesting articles on the IoW past & present. Also still maintains 60019 is still going blue with skirts, we will wait & see. Not to mention a picture of fully restored railmotor 93.

May 2011 issue arrived today with "Dominion of New Zealand" on the front cover and a big feature inside. There seems to be a speed theme, with some thought provoking discussion regarding German V British speed claims prior to Mallard's trip to Germany. Also the NRM is planning a speed event for 2012 and has cancelled their revamp of the Great Hall - hooray!

Will the next issue publicise the parliamentary petition to tighten regulation of the scrap metal industry?

The proposal is that dealers should not be permitted to buy scrap metal for cash. So far the petition has attracted over 5000 signatures, and requires 100,000 to secure parliamentary time. It can be found at http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/406.

    Regards,

    Tim

Anyone know what's happened to issue 419?
I've been in 3 shops today and they're all still selling issue 418, despite that copy announcing the next will be on sale from September 4th.
