This weekend, 16th and 17th October, sees the last steam activity on the EVR for 2010 with Ferrybridge No 3 "Brian Harrison" working the fearsome Ravenstor Incline to help celebrate the annual Model Railway Exhibition. This has become a fixture with the layouts taking over three locations in the market town of Wirksworth. Steam will return with some style in 2011 with the reopening of the remaining five miles of this epic endeavour to restore services over the whole line from Duffield to Wirksworth after a period of 64 years since the last scheduled passenger service.
