A couple of photos taken today at la Moye Quarry on Jersey, served by the 3'6" gauge Jersey Railway. The first is of a Cornish winding engine house that served the quarry and the second of the narrow gauge railway that carried dynamite from the store on the sea shore up to the quarry at the top of the cliffs. There is lots of information available about the Jersey Railway but I can find little about the quarry and the only photo I have seen is of one of the JR locos at the bottom of the quarry after running down an incline by accident. Has anyone any information about the quarry, the way it was worked and the track layout there please?
