All in all a very good event.

No more than 10 mins down except for the late evening departures - mainly due to locos needing to take an extra watering !

Will put some of my pics up at some point but for the time being i'm one tired man!!!!!

Just back from a long weekend in Yorkshire, had a great time again. With the indifferent weather we decided to go for a ride on Sat, the real ale was superb! Well done to the KWVR for putting on a great event.

Got the impression that the fireman was having a little trouble!!! I'd imagine the pull out of keighley would have ripped the fire apart.[/quote:2fupx6kp]

It was for a blow up.The problem was that it had done very little up to that point combined with a new batch of coal which was distinctly slow to light. It was OK once you realised & allowed more time for the fire to burn through. It caught me out as well, but I wasn't on the express & was able to recover.
I am the last person to throw stones for being short of steam, I think I hold the record for greatest number of blow ups on one trip, which is very embarrassing!

Far too many....... :-# Some people may remember 957 in at the Autumn Gala.
locos don't steam very well with the damper shut #-o (I was convinced it was open...)I will never make the same mistake again, nor will I be allowed to forget.

Well of to Norfolk this weekend when my new camcorder turns up, old one failed, I think it may have been that 3 minute depature of Cromwell from Keighley on Sunday.
