May see you around! I'm going to be there all weekend out on the trackside, say hello if you want...
The Winter Steam Gala doesn't normally star the VCT's collection well in all the years i've attended a winter gala they've never played a part, maybe they lack heating.

70013 is indeed facing chimney first towards Oxenhope. A photograph can now be found on the gala page at:

The weather forcast the Railway has been given is sleet. Should be ok!

Most of the snow is gone, but Oxenhope straight has a large helping still.

Sorry, no. They don't do day passes. Lineside passes are available to members for £16 valid for 12 months but you need to apply by mail.

Great gala so far guys! Really enjoying it, well was up at 5 yesterday morning to get there for the shed scenes and didn't manage to get home till 9:30pm so was a rather long day, today was not far from either, up at 6 and back at about 7. And we'll go do it all again tomorrow :p

Anyway, great photos guys and nice to meet so many people yesterday and today, was great to put names to faces.

Anyway i've uploaded 2 or 3 shots from yesterday which are available via our website, and also we've started to put together a DVD with extensive coverage from all three days of the gala, more details via the link to the footage.

    Fridays Footage

    Shall upload todays footage soon.

Just got back to London after a very long day. First time I had ever been to KWVR Today. Really enjoyed it. More people there than I expected. Enjoyed the various loco swaps as well. Can't think of a single thing relating to the steam side that I could fault. .

The buffet arrangements could do with an upgrade for a Gala as everytime I wanted to sit down for something to eat it seemed crowded or the queues too long, but that is only a very minor point which didn't spoil a great day.

    Well done all

Me and a friend travelled over from Manchester to the Gala today, we both had a great day.
Just managed to jump on the afternoon 70013 'Express' when we arrived, usually we head straight for the windows, but had to sit until Haworth as the train was packed! Later afternoon run with 41241 and 90733 was brilliant fun, great to hear two engines being worked so hard!

Many thanks to everyone at the KWVR for putting together a great weekend, i'll definitely be trying to come back for the Summer event.
