I have now added a video of Saturday's happenings too. This includes footage of 'Nunlow', the 04 before and during it's return to traffic, the Austerity and a brief look at 'Leander' at Alpha Street, Keighley.

    Hope everyone enjoys them.

Unfortunately copies of the DVD will now not be ready in time for delivery to the railway tomorrow, this is due to other DVD orders taking priority, i do apologise if anyone was planning on popping over this weekend to get a copy from the railway, hopefully the DVD order will be completed either tomorrow or Friday depending on how other orders originate, if this is the case then we will try and deliver them Saturday afternoon after 6201 if not then we won't be able to deliver them until at least the 14th July. Again i apologise, and will let you know when they are to be delivered; online sales are still available with the discount price until this Saturday.

In the wake of the 04 being withdrawn from service during Saturday, I decided to go to the lakes on Sunday. Amongst other things I visited the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway. You can find the footage on YouTube at this link http://www.youtube.com/user/PenrithBeacon

One of my other interests is aviation. The footage on the KWVR on Friday and Sunday is there. I'm surprised by the implication that you had to search for it.

On a different note, we are now hopeful that copies of the DVD will be delievered on Sunday morning, also could anyone advise me towards any DVD labels they use that are cost justifiable, it would seem that after putting orders into 4 companies over the passed 2 weeks all the DVD labels we've ordered seem to have become discontinued, most annoying, so spent this morning trecking around Leeds looking to buy some but no where seems to sell them, hopefully the order i've just put in now may actually arrive but they are nearly 3 times the price i usually pay for them.

Simon, why not use printable discs, so much more professional and no label to come unstuck....

Yes Ben, i was looking at a printer for this today but didn't see the point when i only have about 10 weeks of DVD burning left especially when i already have nearly 1,500 discs left with the DVD company name on which should see me out till the end.

Not 100% sure. Although her next visit is the Great Central Railway (Nottingham) Ruddington.

I would recommend that you do not use self-adhesive labels on DVDs. I have found that they cause many problems. They change the balance of the disc in the player (its almost impossible to apply them to exactly the right place) so older and/or more sensitive machines cannot play them, and the adhesive gradually seeps through the very thin layers, eventually reaching the recorded layer, so that discs that used to play fine in a machine will no longer do so. Printing directly onto the disc is a much better bet.

I put self adhensive stickers on my slide collection to number them, over time the self adhesive dried out and all the numbers fell off, it took me about two years to try to work out all the dates and locations on each slide from 40 years earlier, I also marked some of them with the early marker pens, and they faded over the years, some are now invisible
