Leander does not arrive until 1818 on the friday evening as it will be coming from Carnforth with the WCRC stock.

Friday is all excepting 80002 and 41241 (And Leander as it will not have arrived yet) , Saturday all excepting 85 and Sunday all exceptin 47279

As (I think) I have said before, Leander will not be working branch trains and will be on the mainline on Saturday and Sunday

85 (and the other spare engines) were origionally going to be used for the footex which is now not happening.

So it was giving people a chance to drive her before she went out of ticket.

Its rostered as the WD 90733

Its the start of the summer running period, crews do a full week and get a loco of choice. My crew have asked for the WD

Leander will leave the railway with the WCRC set on sunday as far as im aware

    UPDATE

Due to a delay in the printing of the Souvenir booklet, it has been decided to issue the working timetables on the KWVR website.

These will probably be available from tomorrow onwards.

These will be the same timetables as in the booklet which DO show the loco allocations, however in their usual keyed format which they will not be in the booklet (This will have loco numbers as opposed to a key)

I would still like to think many people would buy the booklet as it contains much more than timetables

Having just seen the proof for the gala brochure I must congratulate the people behind the brochure for producing such a superb booklet, it is highly obvious that a great deal of hours have being placed into the production of the booklet, and would recommend it to everyone, especially when it costs just £2.50!

Also an update on the Gala DVD were producing is that we’ve managed to arrange for on board cab shots on one of the engines, on board freight train shots and also on board shots taken from Leander’s trip up the branch on the Friday evening along with the usual line side and early morning shed shots taken from all three days, more details about the DVD are available inside the gala brochure.

Excellent to see Nunlow gets a full line run on the Friday! By publishing that on the website you've just sold 3 rovers \:D/

As of now, annual membership required, then you can apply for a lineside permit.

As a member I recently asked the membership secretary if I could apply for a lineside pass. I was told that insurance requirements are such that lineside pass holders always have to have a current, valid, membership. Therefore the currency of the lineship pass and the membership have to be identical. It is necessary therefore to apply for the lineside pass at the same time as renewing membership. Because of this requirement I will have to do without a lineside pass for this event, which is unfortunate but I'll have to put up with it for now.

    Regards

Will there be tickets for just the KWVR ie not the main line runs available? Not willing to pay £33 in advance or god knows how much on the day - think this will put off a lot of people esp families

I`m only doing the worth valley line, not really interested in the run to Hellifield, will rover tickets be availabe just for the worth valley line on the saturday or do we have to pay the full £33 for the day regardless?

Yes they will be available for the Worth Valley only, but not sold in advance (i.e. only available on the day of travel from the booking office.

Price of a normal Gala Day rover is £17 irrespective of it being Friday/Saturday or Sunday

Just to explain there is the option to buy a KWVR only day rover for the friday in advance

Other than that the main focus of the event is for the mainline trains - hence these being sold in advance and not normal day rovers

Other than that all normal fares apply "on the day of travel"
