Kirklees Light Railway Gala 8th and 9th Sept 2018

    The Friends of Kirklees Light Railway are happy to announce details of their annual gala on September 8th and 9th 2018;

    This years event themed 'Moor steam' will include 5 visitors; Spirit of Adventure and Anne from the Perrygrove railway. St Egwin and Monty from Evesham Vale Railway and a return visit from Count Louis.

    They will join the resident fleet, compromising of Katie, Owl, Hawk, Badger and new arrival Sian.

    All available loco's will be in action on both days. There will also be an evening train on Saturday and test trains on the Friday.

    The event will also feature vintage vehicles, steam models and a beer tent.

    The event will culminate with the Shelley or Bust, where all available loco's will haul a train to Shelley and back.

    We look forward to seeing you at this years event.
