Timetable and loco alterations are likely as a result of the weather announced via the Facebook page

Just seen the bus service from Settle heading to Skipton so roads should be passable. Trains appear to be running though so taking that as the safer option to get to Keighley.

Thank for the info. Revised timetable available via Facebook/Download. Still looks a "good do".

Really helpful - much appreciated. We’re going to make a decision around 12 which should give time to arrive in daylight and before it freezes if the roads are clear. M62 doesn’t look good at the mo but hopefully will get sorted out this morning.

The roads were terrible all around the railway last night. I lost control and hit a curb in Oxenhope.

Hope you make it. It has turned into the most gorgeous winter's day here. Cold, but bright sunshine and blue skies. Most roads look ok. Ice may be something to look out for especially as the sun sets.

Has the coal tank failed or is it not out due to a lack of available drivers?

Thanks. Ended up coming from the M1 - M62 direction and got here about 1700 hrs. Absolutely stunning views across the tops coming into Haworth. Literally the only dodgy bit of road we’ve come across was the cobblestones outside the White Lion and then the overspill car park. Fed and watered now and looking forward to tue next 2 days. Thanks again for your on the ground report - gave us the confidence to get here :)

I had hoped to make the gala myself these last two days but the car had other ideas.

Thankfully, Facebook (love it or hate it) has been awash with some frankly stunning photos across the various groups. A credit to all who have battled the elements to keep things going (see porter at Oakworth on webcam clearing the platform before 8am.) I hope it has proved a financial success too of course.

I think it was because the service was altered which meant it wasn't required. The FB page says everything is to run as planned for today. Subject to usual caveats etc.
