    It was me doing the price comparison not @26D_M. Two adults £25.30 return. Two Jacobite adults £152 return. BUT, and it is a big but. You are paying for the loco, and if you haven't done the journey before, the experience and the opportunity to say you have been on the Harry Potter train. It's only the enthusiasts who may do it more than once.

    West Coast knows what price they can charge without losing much income. That's what running a business is all about. I don't begrudge them that. My point was that there are options.
