Just seen the previous post....Yes it should be on a separate thread. Apologies to the GWSR!

To brighten things up a bit again, here is a colourful picture of Dinmore Manor on a down train passing Hayles Abbey Halt.

Lovely day riding around behind the manor on Sunday. Thanks to all the volunteers who make this possible. [IMG][IMG]

75014 will be out for the first time the next two weekends for those interested. April 22/23 we're also having a 'Cambrian weekend' with 75014 and Dinmore Manor out on our Purple timetable as a nod to the fact that both locos were well known on the Cambrian route

I believe so, @flying scotsman123 is there any chance of seeing either loco with a little bit of ‘Danny’s Bull’?

8 on over Taleddig is good going for a class 4. Not unusual but such trains were generally double headed in my, albeit limited, experience.

That's what made me wonder a bit- I've seen so many pictures of the CCE double headed on Talerddig, but 75014 seems to be making light work of it.

This is Bell's Bridge I believe, about 3/4mile below Talerddig summit.

    Now THAT looks immense!
I actually have a friend who is from Wales, wish she could afford to go further than the Mid Hants, I would love to take her.
I wonder if like 7903 at the One Last Hurrah weekend that 7820 and/or 75014 will be renumbered?
It would be spot on to see Braveheart as 75033.

As they were both pukka Cambrian engines, no need for any renumbering! :)

Perhaps you don’t realise but Wales is closer to the GWSR than the Mid Hants, especially South Wales, the closest parts around 45 minutes away by car.

But a bit of grime would be good for the authentic experience ;)

The amount of stuff that was sent from Wrexham (Creoss Neweydd?) to Barry and it’s survived is rather impressive.
A little bit of ‘Danny’s Bull’ might not be a bad shout though.

For hauling chocolate and cream carriages on the GWSR, would not a "Cornishman" headboard be more appropriate than "Pines Express"?

Whichever way, 75014 was a most welcome sight at the railway yesterday.

Wonder if it could be done as a poster paint job- I seem to recall someone from the owners group of one of the Manors being rather irritated at how difficult it was to subsequently cover/remove afterwards!

I must admit I’m suggesting this as someone who has absolutely no involvement with the locomotives involved!
Just hoping to plant a seed in the minds of others!
