Link below gives details but if successful, it will form a new station on the Dean Forest Railway.

Glad there is a plan to save it. Presume that the idea would be to rebuild it at Travellers Rest, just north of Parkend?
It might look a little 'awkward' to anyone used to the standard Severn & Wye stations.

I think it might even be destined for Speech House Road which is further along Martin.

To be fair the picture is of the goods shed

This on the other hand would be delightful in the Forest of Dean

To be honest, I don't know the confirmed final location but I am aware that the DFR has been in discussions with the landlord (the Forestry Commission) about a number of potential locations north of Parkend. I am led to believe that north of Parkend, stations were of GWR design.

I must admit I don't know the Forest very well and even taking a loco into the north headshunt at Parkend gives me a nosebleed! Scary going that far north!

If I remember correctly; The only stations north of Parkend on the S&W 'main line' were Speech House Road and Drybrook Road, both of which had the standard building as seen at Parkend now (I believe that is the ex-Drybrook Rd building) There may also have been a similar one in the Bilson Junction area that purported to be the station for Cinderford, but which was rapidly replaced by the GWR terminus on the line from Bullo.

Nose bleed? Hellfire taking anything into the headshunt makes my bum go squeaky! Not that I've taken the Geismar into 'bramble land' and had the wheels at the absolute maximum distance into the Forest that it...

I'm told the proposed locations are on the Wimberry Branch area if that makes any sense?

Yes, that joined the main line just north of the Speech House road.
