If you mean Sir Lamiel then I couldn't agree more. Congratulations to the 6023 team and the GCR for getting the job done but on this occasion a malachite N15 will be the star of the show for me.

Gala ticket arrived yesterday. Just a quick question, when I arrive at Loughborough will there be two sets of queue's? One of people wanting to pay on the day and another for people who have already booked their ticket(s)?

Fingers crossed that the King has passed today's steam test. Anyone heard yet?

With the coldest night of the year forecast for tonight, perhaps a good thing that presumably some loco's will be raising steam overnight, ready for Friday.

Could be a unique gala for photographers, snow scenes on Friday, and by Sunday no snow!

Mathew: Just taking you off-topic for a brief moment, what is the latest in respect of a new location for a shed/works? Is the "Workington" project on the old refuse site by the MML dead now? Any other locations being considered, eg swithland?

Are all the TPO runners green? Just a clue? :p
And would it be recommended to visit on Saturday or Sunday, taking into account frequency of services (Incl. Freights) etc.

Up to the owners, obviously, but is it really much more of an ask for a King to haul 5-6 coaches at 35mph for a short section on the flat than 25? Just saying!
