The update speaks of "Pressure Tanks". Are/were the Barnums dual or air braked?

I don't think the GCR used air brakes, so I wonder if the reference is to vacuum tanks? For my part I looked at the ceiling lights in the original interior pic and wondered if they would have to be made, or if there is a similar "retro" modern product. I think (albeit from memory as I can't track the equivalent pic down) the NER 2118 may have had similar fittings.

I've heard of vacuum equipment being referred to as pressure vessels.

The Trust has launched a Supporters Group: https://gcr-rollingstocktrust.co.uk/friends/

Also, the latest newsletter (received last week) reports that Barnum 228 is now back on its bogies.

I was given the opportunity to have a bit of a tour of #228 a few weeks ago at the 567 Group AGM, work is currently being undertaken on the buffers. The brakegear and underfloor cabling/ piping/ plumbing is currently absent but I seem to recall being told that this is being addressed. Internally the partition between the two saloons has been reinstated. I can't remember being told what was next on the to-do list for the internals but the prototype for the new seating had been installed.
