As to the past, Ralph, Matt and myself met up last year as a 'Cotton Mill Club' Express meeting, or something like that, from meeting on Nat Pres, in having a natter we said we have to go out for the day, we decided on a run behind umpteen railtours between April and July this year, we were all booked up due to work etc, so this was the day out we all came up with, enough time to book and we can travel as a group if we book early enough.

Best bit is 6233 both ways over Shap.... \:D/

    Can't think of a worst bit...yet..

PM me for details, and to get back on topic about the Cotton Mills,

Watching 1:14 to 1:38 of the Lydgate video, I thought it looked just like my train set.

    In my dreams! I wish!

That is a superb location, who knows where there are great vids of other locos there?

No I do not currently volunteer
Search for "Lydgate cotton mill" on Youtube, and you'll get a few more.

Thanks Richard, I found B1 61264, Leander and a Black Five, one of Mr Riley's I guess.
I'd love to go and film there myself one day. Do people walk up from the Post Office as marked on the OS map? And is the viewpoint half way up or right on the crest at the top? Most important question; to climb up there and get your breath back to set up the camera, how much earlier than the train do you need to arrive in Lydgate?
