    Surely any possible damage to the reputation of main line steam is from the original Twit (I use the term advisedly). Mentioning it on here and making very clear that what was seen was not a blowback seems to me certainly to do no harm and possibly to help squash the rumour.

    Silly thread but that's social media for you. Give people the means to talk to the world and you get what you get. Sadly the likes of Twitter take responsibility for nothing. But by their standards this is really small beer.

    I think it would take the ORR and RAIB about 3/10s of a second to establish that there was nothing there to be concerned about. I also strongly doubt that those bodies would confuse posts on a forum like this with professional opinions.
