More than a suggestion I’d say!

    Turntable must be finished!

    Great news.

Be great to see No.9 back on her home turf.

    Pulled from FRHT fbook page.

    Coming together!

Asked about the track leading in, NR and the Trust hope to have this in place by March.

Additionally the weeds on the lead in have been cleared.

So all in all, this is looking hugely positive.

Babcock/Story re-laying the line and run round loop for the turntable from the Clayhills headshunt.

Great to see NR fully behind this.

Looking like a very definite go for March and Tornado then.

Coaling stage on the left with buffer stop and line still in situ.

Are NWR behind it as it may be useful to them for turning On Track Plant?

Pass, but I personally would think that a fair assumption.

Perhaps operators outside of the steam groups have also seen value in reinstating the asset?

Provided she is still in ticket and a touring company put something together....

Surely a Ferryhill Farewell tour would sell...

The facebook page for the Ferryhill Railway Trust shows them performing a test rotation of the turntable - being pushed round by hand and has wooden decking but no rails and what might be temporary side railings, Things are definitely progressing

Spotted on the new Aberdeen bypass on Wednesday; the very skeletal remains of a double deck tram body, on a Lorry. Anyone know what/where it was going?

    @W.Williams ?

I have a feeling that anything with No.9 would sell this year.

Please excuse the poor quality, taken from the FHRT fb page.

Its been a nippy week in the Deen, note the frozen Dee!

The main line connection has been rallied and tamped, looking very bonnie!

The Turntable itself is nearing completion.

Looking forward to seeing an East Coast pacific or two on that come spring!

    Fingers still crossed...

Excellent work from the Ferryhill team. I really hope this is a success for them, and Aberdeen as a whole.
