Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway - Goods Train Days - New for 2015!

    There are very few opportunities to experience travel on a goods train anywhere in the world, and we are delighted to be able to offer this NEW for 2015. You will need to purchase a special ticket which costs just £5 per person per single journey (in addition to the normal fare) and enables you to ride in the guard's brake van on the goods train.

    Feel the warmth of the guard's stove; hear the clattering of the wagons in your train; see the Railway from a different perspective!

    Planned locos (details will be updated when confirmed):
    • Saturday 25th April - Class 14 NCB38 (D9513)
    • Saturday 2nd May - (various locos) - Event fare plus £5 single journey supplement
    • Sunday 3rd May - (various locos) - Event fare plus £5 single journey supplement
    • Monday 4th May - (various locos) - Event fare plus £5 single journey supplement
    • Saturday 30th May - Class 08 773 (D3941)
    • Saturday 27th June - Class 08 773 (D3941)
    • Saturday 25th July - Class 08 773 (D3941)
    • Saturday 29th August
    • Saturday 26th September

    Given the effectiveness of the Steam heating last time i visited the idea of a stove in a guards van is rather attractive... nevertheless hope it sells well... Do they have a Queen Mary ?
