I just got to Fenwick when I have heard the news about Tornado's failure. I wish the A1SLT all the luck in the world to get this superb locomotive back and up running again very soon ?

Prior to the problems she was running well over the viaduct and through Welwyn North.

Does anyone know how long it will be in Peterborough for? Or if it will be continuing on from there ? I’m waiting with a person I support who was hoping to take some photos as it passed us. I’m trying to help them understand what’s happened and what the plans are from now so they can decide if they want to wait or head home.

    Any help is much appreciated!

Seemingly going well at Sheep Walk - wasn’t long after that disaster struck..! I wish all the best for the A1ST in the situation

Rebecca, it's at Peterborough right now, we haven't moved yet but Tornado is probably in Eastfield Yard at the moment. It'll go to the Nene Valley in due course.

Just for the record, the official name of that crossing is Holme Green.

Now there's a thought! Mind you, I could have gone to the Brewery Tap...!

Anyway - it's happened and I'm staying put. Just hope the aircon gets a bit colder!

Ironically, now a 75mph tour due to Shed haulage. Pity we couldn't have been hauled by the 66 "Evening Star", on Eastfield Yard.

Brings back memories of Blue Peter, and her motion problems in 1994.

I am sure the A1ST and all parties will ensure a thorough investigation, and all precautions are taken to resolve the situation.

With being so high profile, the fallout could be quite damaging, but I feel everyone associated with her will gather round and get her in tip top shape ASAP.

For such a icon, and a trail blazer, things like this will happen, fortunately, everybody is OK, and metal can be replaced..

That for me was the saddest thing - the acceleration up to 90 seemed absolutely effortless.

60163 at 90mph passing Holme Green Crossing in Langford, Biggleswade, and then being dragged through Sandy by GBRf 66744. Thanks to @Will RL for the lift this morning.
