    Nice pics, esp night shots.

    Well done to the East Lancs for getting the stock right! What a sifference it makes and something all railways can learn from. Might even be tempted by the steam gala now.

    The blue and grey rake is lovely and even better for being a bit grubby. If 402 had a plated front it would look just like a late 80s NE DMU substitution..a reminder of great days!

    the stock and traction certainly complemented each other. The 50 hould have covered some of the 40's diagrammes but apparently was poorly. It was a nice surprise seeing it out fot the last trip.
