Any info as to when Tornado will be arriving on ELR and which route it will be taking from York after tour on 22nd? Intend to video and ride at least once each for the gala weekend and maybe midweek too.
    Superb lineup of locos!
    Regards,
    John.

Tornado moves from York to Castleton via Wakefield Kirkgate and Stalybridge, directly after arriving back from Edinburgh on Fri 22 October.

Do the East Lancs Railway offer lineside passes for events?

    Thanks,
    Lewis

Oh God, it begins!. I fear the argument which that question started on another forum went on far too long to C&P! IIRC the conclusion was either 'I'm afraid not' or 'Absolutely not, we don't want people on our lineside who have no right to be there, get off our land immediately, camera wielding scum!' depending who you asked! I believe the official line was the former :)

Wonder who all those were on the lineside yesterday if access is not allowed?

Hopefully not part of the "put on a hi vis" and please yourself brigade?

Any confirmation for locos on Monday 25th?

Also, what is working the late night trains and how does the ticketing work?

On another website as 73129 and 5690 Leander for the Monday and I think the late night train is a private train - I will check though

The "Nightrider" is for a private party (scouts I think) this year, I asked Andy Coward several months ago, but it could return at a future gala for "normal passengers".

Perhaps that part of the timetable should be removed from the website?

    Best Regards

Does seem confusing to have the night trains advertised on a public website with no indication that the trains are private. I certainly wasn't aware until you said -I agree they shouldn't really be there if that is the case.

I know it is a bit cheeky but please don't forget it is also the Foxfield gala this weekend (details above).

Why not join the Saturday morning photo freight event before heading to Lancashire? Please pm me for further details.

I will get to the East Lancs again soon, it has been too long.

    Regards,

    David

Does anyone know if 60163 is either double heading or banking with 71000 on the 14:10pm Heywood-Rawtenstall on the saturday?
