45407 faces Heywood (chimney first), 44871 is also facing Heywood, 850 is to be delivered on Wednesday but should (according to other people elsewhere) face Rawtenstall, everything else faces Rawtenstall.

Is there going to be a night shoot at Baron Street? If so, what are the arrangements for it? I haven't been to the ELR before but am going on Friday and have seen some lovely shots from previous Baron Street events

Copied/pasted from the nuelr forum, originally posted by sng60007:

    Friday 20th January

There will be a photographic evening at Baron Street Yard. Unlike previous years the location of the shoot will be the fan of sidings at the north end of the yard.

Please commence to arrive from 1830hrs for a 1900hrs start and finish time is scheduled for 2100hrs.

We have planned for your delectations two scenarios.

In the first instance we will create a shed enviroment and locos will be from 49395, 47324 45407 44871 80080 45231. That is the pool and we will have a minimum of 4 locomotives all of which will be in a minimum of light steam ,subject to availability.

I have contacted 5 people who have kindly agreed to pose in relevent uniforms for the shoot.

Having had a period of photography of a shed scene we will then remove 3 of the locomotives and we will pose 49395 on top of a freight set with another locomotive by the side of it to create a goods yard enviroment. Again I have asked people to stay and do cameos etc and add human interest to some of the shots.

Cost for the evening will be £15 for people who are taking photographs. A gentleman asked me at the last shoot if it was ok to accompany his son who was the only person taking photographs, so again I reiterate if you have wife/partner who is not taking photograhs there is no charge for them.

Please approach the gates at the north end of Baron street yard where the line then goes through to Bury and not the gates where you have entered previously.

You will be met by John Tate and/or the stewards who will show you where to park and collect payments.

Before the shoot commences there will be a safety brief from John. It is absolutely essential that participants adhere to the safety briefing and respond to any requests made by stewards during the evening.

We will endeavour to co operate with any requests as much as we can however your safety is our utmost priority and the future of these events depends on your co operation.

Any questions either ask on the forum or if you prefer email me at elrnumber1@gmail.com and I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible

As im going tomorrow can anyone confirm a couple of questions for me:

    1. Is 71000 Running, no sign of her in both video's thus far.

    2. what was the Super D doing running solo at Irwell Vale when it's not booked to on the roster ?, is that linked with question 1 ?.

Apparently according to a fan facebook page, 71000 failed at some point during the morning and couldn't participate in the gala. I'm guessing the super D took 71000's place. Can anyone shed any light on whats happened? you never know, February may be third time lucky for the duke!

49395 was meant to be banking 71000's train but had to go solo cos 71000 never showed up. Would be a darned shame if she doesn't show up at all, after that marvellous paint job
