Also relatively close to Bristol for a run to the south coast on Sunday. <BJ>

Sounds like some sensible quick thinking from one or more there at least.

So that those who had paid extra to be in the directors coach, at the rear outbound, would have the view they paid for, West Coast doing the right thing.

I assume that the only reason that the train was scheduled to run via Laverstock Jct and Andover was to save 70013 turning at Southampton.
70013 tender first Weymouth to Southampton, charter train arrives at Southampton, 70013 attaches to the back of the charter, 70013 smokebox first towards Laverstock, Andover and London. <BJ>

70013 now reported heading the train away from Southampton towards Romsey at 1829.
RTT data is not being updated correctly !

I think "Operational problems" probably means no locomotives ! 34046 is not ready, 34067 is still under repair and 60019 and 70013 will be up north.

From what happened last year, 47 dragged us and Ollie all the way back to Southampton. Then shes facing the right way to head via andover. Ollie was serviced in jubilee sidings with the stock stabled in one of the two sidings there. I assume exactly the same occurred today.

This has been the norm for a few years now when using a single loco on this run.

Ala the below picture I took last year. The footbridge was my first every job on network rail and started my career off.... Happy days spent there.

When referring to 'Southall Shed' its worth remembering there are two sheds at Southall - WCRC and LSL

Allegedly a member of public had reported "a door on the catch" to SWT staff and the decision was made (correctly for safety of the line) for 1Z67 to be put in Wallers Ash Loop for the train crew to check the train.
I understand all doors were correctly closed.

    Cheers, Neil

So diesels at the rear of the train are now the norm, then, unless the TOC decides otherwise?
