While not on the scale of the shed being constructed at Haven Street, IOW, The Sentinel diesel group at East Somerset Railway have begun the construction of a two road shed for the maintenance and housing of their diesel fleet.

Looks almost identical to the other shed at Havenstreet! I presume you will move those carriages before you put the back wall on...

Phot below showing progress on the diesel shed. Unlike the Havenstreet example this is being done by a very few people. As you can see the carriages remain in position being staff dorm. and mess room.

Looks to be a very useful building, good to see that the left hand bay appears to be trackless, it is so important to have a space for machines, stores and work benches etc. Some have made the mistake in my opinon of packing sheds with too many tracks and no space for anybody to actually work.

Just to add, the container is within the shed and will be used as the storeroom. The group also have a Fish Van located nearby which has been converted to a small workshop and store for odds 'n' ends.

It looks a decent size shed. All to often diesels just seem to be left outside, exposed to the elements. I'm not familiar with the east somerset railway, what diesels have you got?
